1. We’ll pick you up and drop you off in Melbourne

Select which pick-up location when you make your booking! We start in Melbourne CBD, where we pick up from a range of different locations around the city. We leave the city early in the morning to allow enough time to get to the Great Ocean Road – so you can enjoy the day with as many daylight hours as possible!

We’ll do all the driving for you.

Expect to be on the bus for a couple of hours as we head down towards the Great Ocean Road. Simply kick back, relax and enjoy the views on the way down.

2. Memorial Arch

The first of many photo opportunities brings you to Memorial Arch, where you’ll get to snap up photos underneath the archway sign. This famous archway marks the beginning of the Great Ocean Road, and it’s all coupled with some impressive ocean views in the background.

If you’re blessed with the hot sun that day, the ocean is a gorgeous sapphire blue, and clear skies allow you a lucky view of the whole horizon and the Bass Strait. You don’t always have to wait for a sunny day, though! The Great Ocean Road is dramatically beautiful at any time of the year.

3. Lunch Stop: Apollo Bay

Apollo Bay has plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. Chill along the beachfront, pick up something to eat and refuel.

Whether you’re after a takeaway pie from one of the town’s bakeries or you’re craving a pub lunch, Apollo Bay has some great eating options.

Walk along the beach at Apollo Bay and take in the serene surroundings on the beach. Feel free to take your lunch onto the beach and eat with a gorgeous view!

4. Melba Gully

Where the coastal route meets the rainforest, you’ll get to immerse yourself in some incredible rainforest scenery.

We’ll take a walk for approximately 20 minutes. We’ll go through an accessible rainforest pathway that meanders through the tropical-looking greenery. As the gully is near water, the ferns are lush, green and healthy. Feel immersed in the rainforest as you take a wander around this pretty path through native Australian flora and fauna.

5. 12 Apostles Viewpoint  

Then, it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: The iconic 12 Apostles rock formation. We’ll head back to the coast here and spend some time admiring these fantastic views of a vast ocean with white capped waves set with impressive rock formations.

This is a viewpoint that takes your breath away.

The 12 Apostles are truly breathtaking. These limestone stacks are like living fossils, echoing millions of years’ worth of coastal erosion. Watch as the powerful ocean smashes against the rocks, creating a hypnotic view that’ll keep your eyes transfixed.

Things to expect and remember…

• The journey is lots of driving! The first half of the journey involves lots of driving.
