Skiiing and snowboarding around Mount Buller

Skiiers and snowboarders alike will flock to Mount Buller and fly down its slopes every year. There are a range of different difficulties, from beginner skiiers to seasoned snow junkies. New to snowsports? The ski and snowboarding school offers green runs for those practising. So if you’re looking to begin your journey into skiing or snowboarding, take a lesson at the school.

If you’re intermediate level then head over to the blue runs. And if you’re a total pro, then hit the black runs.

Visit the sculpture park for some 3D artwork

The sculpture park at Mount Buller offers an interesting walk-around trail full of interesting artistic 3D architecture which showcases a range of different art styles. Over the decades, the resort has received several donated artworks that are showcased around the park.

Eating around the mountain

Head over to Mount Buller’s many eateries! From mouthwatering burgers to warming ramen bowls and cosy pubs, you’ll find plenty of places in Mount Buller for a tasty meal. Snack on something to replenish your appetite after a day on the slopes, or sip on a morning coffee with a view of the snow-capped mountain.

Go snowshoeing

Snowshoeing is a form of hiking in the snow. You’ll be able to explore the snowy alpine conditions whilst wearing special snowshoes. This will allow easy trail access across the thick snowy conditions. Either take the easy route and trail around the pretty snowgums, or take the higher incline up to the summit. These shoes are heavy-duty and allow you to hike through the snow in comfort and warmth. Snowshoeing allows you to explore the magic of the mountains on foot and take in your snowy surroundings.

Visit the Gnome Roam

If you’re travelling to Mount Buller with family, then the Gnome Roam is a fun activity for the kids! The Gnome Rome is a fun trail, which places gnomes that are dotted around a snow-filled park. Take the self-guided trail which features a range of interesting and unique little gnomes! Make sure you pop into the Gnome Home – It is located near the Mountain Ash tree.
