The Blue Mountains are full of incredible lookout points, offering some of Australia’s most famously breathtaking views.
The Blue Mountains are full of incredible, unmissable views! No trip to the Blue Mountains is complete without admiring the view of the vistas from different viewpoints! Here are our favourites.
Echo Point

Echo Point is your gateway to viewing one of the most famous rock formations in Australia. The Three Sisters is a unique rock formation that juts out in front of a vast, flat valley. The three sandstone rocks are adjoined together into a rocky trio.
Don’t miss this essential lookout point in the Blue Mountains!
Wentworth Falls

For a gorgeous view of a waterfall that protrudes from the bushy rocks, check out Wentworth Falls. This is a pretty waterfall that cascades any time of the year – although it’s heavier after rainfall.
Cahills
Popular at sunset, this lookout point is a popular point for many.
Cahill Lookout Point is the best spot for a view of the Megalong Valley. It’s slightly less well-known than Echo Point or Wentworth, so you might be lucky enough to catch this viewpoint without the big crowds. Go to the very end of Cliff Drive to find this spot! Walk some 500 metres down an easy walking track to access the canopy.
Olympian Rock

The viewpoint of Olympian Rock allows for some stunning vistas of the Jamison Valley and Mount Solitary.
If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to catch the clouds nestling in the valley. To feel like you’re walking through clouds, catch the Olympian Rock at sunrise.
Portal Lookout

The Portal Lookout is your perfect spot for admiring the view of the river below. This easily accessible viewing platform gives you the ultimate vantage point of seeing the whole river below you. It allows a great view of the Glenbrook Gorge meeting the Nepean River below!
